CHEVY (b. 1995 -- Atlanta, GA) is an emerging archivist-artist-researcher and curator living and working in Ohio. Their archive work centers queer identities as they view storytelling as a powerful tool of liberation and presence.  At its core, CHEVY’s work explores multidimensional approaches to preserving and sharing our sacred histories  through our voices, our bodies and our beings. A human-Earth connection is what grounds this practice . The idea that our past, present and future are inextricably bound to the land, trees, water and air we breathe. CHEVY’s work  is grounded in an immeasurable sense of love and respect for the Earth and as such, the natural world emerges as an important space and subject of reflection and creative contemplation.
