Jackie is a lifetime Ohio resident and self-taught artist. Always a doodler, she took up art after raising her family and works primarily in acrylics. Painting provided relief from her career as an oncology nurse.

"Painting lets me escape while being in the moment.  It's a way to relax while challenging myself to make something that is pleasing to me.  It gives me a place to breathe and get out of my head.  My favorite way to paint is to just start putting colors on canvas and wait for it to tell me what it wants to be.  There are lots of misses, but when I hit, it feels so rewarding."
