Cleveland-based artist Paula Zinsmeister has been exhibiting in the Northeast Ohio and Columbus areas for many years. She has been accepted into numerous juried shows and has received many awards for her work. Over the years, Paula has been invited to exhibit as a solo artist. She has also displayed her work in two person and group shows in several galleries. Her artwork is in the collection of the Cleveland Art Association (CARTA), University Hospitals, Shaker Heights Libraries, and several private collectors. Paula is represented on a national level by Oehme Graphics gallery, based in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Paula draws her inspiration from nature, which has long been a favorite subject matter. She minored in art at Ohio University and Cleveland State University, and studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art. She continued to develop her printmaking skills at the Women’s Studio Workshop in New York and at Zea Mays Printmaking Studio in Massachusetts. Locally, Paula attended classes in printmaking at
Zygote Press, where she continues to be a member. Through classes at the Morgan Conservatory, she learned the processes of papermaking and eco-dying, which can be found in her more recent work. Paula enjoys discovering new techniques and skills to incorporate into her artwork, which she anticipates will be a lifelong process.
